NEC flagship programme
PowerFreedom 2025–2035
A long-term ambition. A practical path for every qualifying site.
Illustrative vision · not a documented project installationEnergy freedom, built site by site
PowerFreedom is NEC’s energy-transition programme for expanding intelligent renewable and storage solutions. Its stated long-term ambition is 10 GW globally, including a Southeast Asian focus. These are programme targets, not installed or contracted capacity.
From purpose to practice
01
Two principal technology pathways
NES SolarMax combines solar + ESS + AI. NES GridMax combines ESS + AI around the existing electricity supply. The selection follows site conditions, tariffs, demand and the relevant programme criteria.
02
Malaysia programme access
NEC Malaysia assesses commercial and industrial users, landlords and delivery partners. Proposed energy-service structures may reduce the need for customer-funded initial equipment expenditure where the site qualifies and funding is approved. Any subsidy, allocation, discount or zero-upfront structure must be confirmed in the project agreement.
03
Prepare for qualification
Start with a clear site description and recent energy usage. Detailed review may cover electricity bills, load data, property rights, financial standing, technical suitability and contractual obligations. Participation and project commencement remain subject to assessment and definitive agreements.
